Anything we can do, the Italians will do better. We do grilled cheese and tomato soup, cheese on toast with ketchup. They do pizza, and mozzarella in carozza. One of my all time favourite italian beer snacks, hailing from Naples and delivering on every comforting, crispy, cheesy, spicy level. A fried, breadcrumbed mozzarella sandwich is always going to be good. Pair it with a fennel laced tomato sauce and an ice cold beer? Now that’s livin’.
