Just a little note from me to say THANK YOU for the past 233 days of newsletters. Happy 233 day anniversary everyone!!!
I started How I Cook on September 1st 2023 and shared 52 issues with you, and we’ve grown from 0 to 32,000 over that time.
A lot has changed in my life since I launched the substack, new opportunities came up, my priorities shifted, I found myself pouring more and more time into this newsletter and was so happy to watch it grow and give back.
As a result, I’ve left my job to go fully self-employed, have just started a brand new, very exciting project (one that may or may not have pages and a front cover and stuff…) and with that, comes a good amount of financial jeopardy.
With that in mind, I’ve made the decision to increase the subscription fee a little from £3.99 to £4.99 for new subscribers (if you had a monthly subscription before, don’t worry, it stays the same!) in order to support this shift in my life from How I Cook being a part time gig to more of a full time one. It represents a seriously exciting turning point in my life and I’m so grateful to all of you for playing a part in it and for your continuing support.
To soften the blow a little bit (making stuff more expensive always sucks!!), I’m giving a little discount on annual subscriptions that will bring it a little closer to where it was before for the time being. If you want to check it out, click here.

As a new subscriber, this is great news I've been in a serious funk with cookery, but you've brought that spark back and I'm back in the kitchen seriously thinking over what to cook by raiding my fridge and pantry.What you do is so important! Godspeed, I say!
